The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) has developed this valuable Spanish Library to assist your efforts to better educate and inform communities with a Spanish-speaking population about the importance of flood insurance coverage.

The library provides resources written in Spanish with their English equivalent, to help the audiences you connect with on a regular basis—community members and the media—understand the importance of flood preparedness and protection. The materials are also designed to support your outreach to victims of flood disasters. The materials on this CD include core messages and information about flood insurance that can be used in most areas of the country.

The suite of Spanish materials includes fact sheets, brochures and talking points that are indicated as either 1) resource material for you or 2) outreach materials for distribution to the public and the media.

With your help, we can educate consumers about their flood risk, how they can protect their property and how to get flood insurance. We will announce other resources as they become available. El Programa Nacional de Seguro contra Inundaciones (National Flood Insurance Program, NFIP) ha desarrollado esta valiosa biblioteca en español para respaldar sus esfuerzos por educar e informar mejor a las comunidades con población hispanohablante acerca de la importancia de tener cobertura de seguro contra inundaciones.

La biblioteca proporciona recursos escritos en español con sus equivalentes en inglés, para ayudar al público con el que usted se comunica regularmente —integrantes de la comunidad y los medios— a comprender la importancia de estar preparados y protegidos ante una inundación. Los materiales también están diseñados para brindarle apoyo en sus tareas de asistencia a las víctimas de desastres producidos por inundaciones. Los materiales de este CD incluyen mensajes e información esenciales acerca del seguro contra inundaciones, que pueden utilizarse en la mayoría de las áreas del país.

El conjunto de materiales en español incluye hojas de datos, folletos y temas de conversación que están señalados como 1) material de consulta para usted o 2) material de difusión para distribuir al público y a los medios.

Con su ayuda, podemos educar a los consumidores sobre el riesgo de sufrir inundaciones y sobre cómo pueden proteger sus casas y obtener un seguro contra inundaciones.
